about

BURY ME AMERICAN is the final installment of THE AMERICAN TRILOGY of records The Tressels began in 2011

Working once again with grammy winning sound engineer Mike Tarsia (Patti Labelle/Hank Williams Jr.), the band has finally captured their explosive live energy on tape
BURY ME AMERICAN is the raw, white-knuckled recording dedicated fans have been expecting from this veteran band of working class warrior poets

2013 was a difficult year for founding members Butch Fullerton and Brian Dirtman
Butch's two year marriage was coming to a close just as Dirtmans father was succumbing to the effects of a heart attack and stroke that would end his 51 year life

As usual the pair put their pain into song

With the help of longtime collaborators Mickey Reds, Fuzz Floyd, and new Tressel/old friend Matt Outlaw Orlando, the group created their most vulnerable and affecting set of songs to date

BURY ME AMERICAN is the epic conclusion to THE AMERICAN TRILOGY
A concept which began as most things in The Tressels world

A casual conversation over a round of beers

Four years later these three records are a period piece about love, loss, and finding hope in the most hopeless of times

The Tressels have always maintained a delicate balance between the dark and light aspects of their songwriting throughout their ten year career

BURY ME AMERICAN is the sound of a band who is happy to make noise in the shadows

The Tressels Pennsylvania

The Tressels turn personal and professional tragedies into earnest anthems about hope, addiction, betrayal, love, loss, nostalgia and regret played by life long friends who hold onto the heroic (or idiotic) notion that rock & roll is still a noble pursuit. ... more
